Rob Lucas In The Morning

Incredible 60 Minutes Segment

This past Sunday 60 Minutes ran one of the most moving segments in recent memory, Hard Times Generation: Families Living in Cars.  I cried all the way through, yet at the same time felt invigorated with human spirit.  Thes kids profiled are amazing.  If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd want to make sure they were all taken care of.  I hopeyou watch, and feel the same.  It puts things in perspective.

Families in cars
Rob, thank you for bringing this up. I watched the segment on Sunday and it brought me to tears. You are right that we all take our lives for granted. I was shocked when they said there is a website on how to live in your car. Every parent should make their child watch this. I, too, was amazed at the great attitude of the brother and sister living in their truck. They said it was an adventure! Once again, thank you for bringing this to the attention of your listeners. Families Living in Cars
I truly wish that this could have been aired right before Thankgsgiving. This segment truly shows us what to be grateful for. The older girl's comment about how this is life was really mature and she will go far. Joanne S.

Thank you
This brought tears to my eyes. A very good segment for this time of year. I love the girls saying "love today because you might not have it tomorrow." This is a quote that I think I will be living by from day to day. Thank you.

How lucky are we?
If something makes a grown man cry, I will not watch as I get way too emotional as it is. Yet I get what Rob is saying. When you want to complain about not having some of the many toys we all have, try and be grateful instead of what you do have. So manydon't realize how fast everything can be taken away. We could end up in our car just as fast as anyone

I am so upset for those families, it's so sad. Thank God there are people out there looking to help them. In a blink of an eye this could be you or I homless, it's down right scary! God Bless all of those family's . Thank you Rob for posting this.
