It took awhile for this to grow on me. A YouTube review actually got me to give it another listen and now it's a favorite.
I'm putting the lyric video here instead of the music video for two reasons: the music video is boring and the review I read was attached to this by a 71-year-old fan of the song (it shows up as a top comment on YouTube - you can't help liking the song after reading it)...
Their giant hit Wings has been out since August and was #1 overseas shortly after that. But for some reason, the record company decided to wait until a couple weeks ago to finally release the song in North America. But now it's old to me (and anyone else who's been listening to it online).
This is their current song overseas (who knows when it'll be released here). I definitely get a Spice Girls vibe from them - and that's a good thing...
It's one of my all-time favorite songs. But I never saw the video until yesterday.
I've been reading this new magazine, Classic Pop, and they did a feature on Joy Division / New Order. Then I sat at the computer watching YouTube videos for awhile. In addition to being their best song, I'd have to say this was also their best video...
She's like a Canadian Adele (although it's probably more appropriate to say Adele is a British Serena, since Serena Ryder had a hit song before Adele).
