The Las Vegas police plan to charge Paris Hilton with felony possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested last Friday after .8 grams of coke fell out of her purse during a traffic stop. Cops also found a "broken tablet of Albuterol", a prescription medication used to control wheezing, and Zig Zag wrappers, which are commonly used to roll joints. When the arresting officer asked Paris about the cocaine, she said she thought it was gum. Paris is facing a $5,000 fine and up to four years in prison if convicted.

TMZ claims Paris has changed her story and now says the purse is hers, but had been in the possession of a friend.

One of Paris' friends tells Showbiz Spy, “When she got arrested in Vegas the first thing she said was the cocaine was not hers and belonged to someone else. Believe me, that coke was hers. I hope the Vegas police don’t buy her story. She’s a compulsive liar and a first class whore. She needs psychological help, major help. Otherwise, she’ll end up dead before 35.”

Paris Hilton's defense team is going to face the same Las Vegas District Attorney that O.J. Simpson did before he was convicted and jailed. A source says, “David Roger won't tolerate celebrities coming to Las Vegas and thinking they can get away with illegal behavior. It's going to be extremely difficult for Paris to get out of these charges, even with the brilliant legal skills of her lawyer, David Chesnoff.”

Another source says, “This is a high profile case, right before a very important election, and it’s very likely that there will be no plea bargaining down of these charges.”

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has insured his hair for $1 million. Head and Shoulders took out the policy to make sure nothing happens to his three-foot locks. The insurance was obtained through Lloyd's of London. Polamalu, a five-time Pro Bowl player, wears his hair long as a tribute to his Samoan heritage. Larry Johnson once tackled Polamalu by the hair during a 49-yard interception return in 2006.
