Good morning! Sue O'Neil here for Rob Lucas in the morning. Finally kinda figuring it out, when to sleep, eat-drink wine...not perfected, but I do know I have to go to bed by 8pm. Anyhow, I wanted to talk for a minute about Christmas music. Yes year after year its always a tough decision on when to start. Most times the day we decide is sunny and 80, thats just how it plays out. As you can see, its November 13th and we have not changed over. We are hoping to change next week. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and it won't be too late for some people. We don't take this decision lightly as we appreciate your passion and loyalty and hope to not dissapoint you.
Good Morning! Its 7:25 am and I have been up 3 hours. I have been doing the morning show off and on for 4 weeks. Rob Lucas has had a terrible time with his voice. I actually think it was a combination of a virus and overuse. Either way. He is on strict voice rest. I am trying to hold down the fort for him. I can't figure out what time to go to bed. Should I nap in the afternoon? How long should I nap? Should i eat first? Oh and when you talk really fast to me, I'm tired and need a second to process it. Pathetic I know. But here is my blog to say how much I appreciate waking up to Rob Lucas on my radio. He tells me what I need to know to start my day. When I get to the station at 4:45am, i realize I am the one who has that responsibility for you. Heres to the morning warriors. Thank you
So this time of year my husband and I spend a whole lotta time stuffing hungarian hot peppers. We eat them 2 or 3 times a week. Last year we stuffed about 3 cases. i think we have 130 peppers left which means I am under strict orders tobuy two cases, so we don't run out. Here we are Friday night and I will be stuffing hot peppers. Once case down, one to go.
Really? its Fall? NO. I'm still wearing white-no matter what. I also never lost that 5 pounds I wanted to lose before summer. ugh....Although now that I think about it, Fall is Football and Football parties at my house. Cooking, drinking wine and hanging with my friends. Hopefully they won't notice the giant hole in my wall where we had to fix the plumbing.
I love living in Buffalo, yes even in the winter! I'm reminded when I show it off to friends and family from out of town. My mom, brother and niece paid me a visit over the weekend. I took them to canalside to see a free Thursday night concert-and it was a beautiful night and it was such a great experience with the naval park and the views and the fun of the concert. The next day it was up to the American Falls to ride the maid of the mist and eat at the top of the falls. I forget just how incredible that gem is. We then went to the Italian Festival and had fried dough, hot peppers and dandelion sandwhiches. Shopped Elmwood avenue and they were blown away by the city. Its another hot day today and they are long gone. But hopefully I grab these memories one cold January day and remember how awesome it is to live in Buffalo!
Took so long to get nice! My garden is in. I'm Miracle Gro-in the hell out of it and hopefully it will catch up after a late spring. My yearly Robin building a nest on my deck and pooping everywhere, happened yesterday, the Carpenter Bees are drilling holes in my deck and the squirrels dug up all my bulbs and ate them this morning. LOL. OH-and I have another racoon living under my deck. I'm in North buffalo, with a tiny yard, and I am being invaded by critters! Waiting for a bear to stroll through to make it complete.
I have on bright yellow pants and orange shoes and shirt. Bright colors for Spring. Where is spring? I haven't bought my flowers or done hardly any yard work. I'm literally a month behind. Its crazy. I'm ready for some nice weather and a good day of hard work in the yard. Every year I choose a color to feature in my front garden beds. This year is white! Now I stalk all the garden centers for white flowers. Then theres the great plant sale this weekend too! I'm ready Spring, come on already
I am really looking forward to getting outside to play in the dirt. The weather has other ideas! Rain and 50 tomorrow really? Guess I have no excuse not to paint this weekend. I don't mind painting, the prep sucks, but I wouldrather be playing in the flowers in the yard....I can't be the only one!
