Why Women REALLY Don't Wear All Their Shoes...

The average woman wears only a quarter of the shoes she owns!  Most women don’t even come close to wearing the stilettos in their closet. Kim Anne writes for Simply Chic on MSNBC.com:

Many women may feel a need for a new pair of stilettos, but most of us are wasting the money we spend on heels.

According to new research from money-saving website
www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, most women wear only a quarter of the shoes they purchase, despite the fact that we spend a large portion of our paychecks on new ones.

Living style:   The ultimate shoe guide

The study polled 2,352 women, ages 18 and over, from across the United Kingdom on women’s spending habits when it came to footwear. The results reveal that the average woman owns 20.1 pairs of shoes, spends $38 per pair and has a shoe collection worth an estimated $760. Considering the price of a Jimmy Choo can cost well over $1,000, this sounds quite reasonable. But of all the shoes they own, they wear less than a quarter on a regular basis.

Why don’t we wear them — well duh, because they’re not comfortable (as if we didn’t realize that in the store before we brought them home).

The main reason women aren’t wearing all their shoes is that they just don’t feel good — 64 percent of women claimed this as the No. 1 reason for not wearing all of their heels.

The top reasons why women don’t wear their shoes are as follows:

1.       Too uncomfortable (too tight on feet/too high heels) (64 percent)
2.       Hard to match with an outfit (55 percent)
3.       Scared to damage/were very expensive (41 percent)
4.       Were given as a gift and don't like them (37 percent)
5.       Didn't like them as much when I got them home (21 percent)
