Most college students will spend this summer lounging in the sun, not running across the nation! Taylor Plewinski of Williamsville was chosen by the Ulman Cancer Fund as one of the 33 young adults to run from San Francisco to Maryland this summer to raise money for cancer. This Niagara University freshmen ran cross country in high school at Will North and is now using her high school hobby to make a difference in honor of her family and friends with cancer. The 33 chosen runners will be also stopping at cancer hospitals along the way to meet the people they will be helping. She needs to raise $4,500 for the run and is about 25% there. She's holding a fundraiser at Brighton Fire Hall this Saturday February 22nd at 6pm with tons of basket raffles to be won and a spaghetti dinner. Don't forget to follow her on twitter @taytayp24 to get live updates during her run starting on June 15th!
